J with a K Music is proud to offer a variety of Music Therapy programming. Led and curated by J with a K Music's very own Diana (music therapist), Music Therapy is designed to support your child's needs.
Meet Diana-Rose Atchuela (MTA, MT-BC, NMT):
Diana recently graduated from the Bachelor of Music Therapy program, accompanied by a Double Minor in Psychology and Education at Wilfrid Laurier University. She completed her 1000-hour clinical internship at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and has experience working in pediatric care and special education classrooms.
Diana is a Certified Music Therapist (MTA), Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), and a certified Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT) granted by The Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy.
As a music therapist, Diana strives to create safe and welcoming spaces for those she works with. Using a client-centered approach, she uses music and creative interventions catered to each person to enhance their learning and engagement. With a supportive and nurturing environment, she believes that everyone has the opportunity to reach their unique goals!

Music Therapy Programming
What's included?
Our music therapist arrives equipped with all the materials to offer the best experience!
During the session, clients can play various instruments (e.g., shakers, bells, drums, rhythm sticks) while led by Diana playing guitar. All of our packages include 2 assessment sessions to develop specific goals catered to your child’s / group’s needs.

Note: no prior musical experience is needed for both adapted music lessons and music therapy!
